Prerequisite

A wi-fi hotspot password (NOT OnePass password) is needed to connect to eduroam / CSL / Y5ZONE networks.  Visit CUHK Wi-Fi Hotspot Partnership Programme to obtain one.

連接 eduroam、CSL 或 Y5ZONE 無線網路時需要使用 wi-fi hotspot 密碼（並非 OnePass 密碼）。首次使用前請先到 CUHK Wi-Fi Hotspot Partnership Programme 網站登記。

• Android 11, 12 and 13 devices
• Android 14 devices

 

Android 11, 12, and 13 devices

1. Tap Settings > Network and Internet > Wi-Fi.
       點選設定 > 網絡和互聯網 > Wi-Fi。
   
   
   
2. Make sure WiFi is On, then tap eduroam from the list of available wireless networks.
       請開啟 Wi-Fi，並於可用的無線網路中選擇 eduroam。
   
      
   
   
   
3. Please configure the network details as follows:
       請根據以下設定連接 eduroam。
   
   
   
   • EAP Method:  PEAP
   • Phase 2 authentication:  MSCHAPV2
   • CA Certificate: Use system certificates
   • Online certificate status:  Do not validate
   • Domain: dot1x.cuhk.edu.hk
   • Identity: (Computing ID)@cuhk.edu.hk
   • Anonymous identity:  (blank)
   • Password: Wi-fi hotspot password
     
     
   • EAP 方法︰  PEAP
   • 第二階段身份驗證︰  MSCHAPV2
   • CA 憑證：  使用系統憑證
   • 網上憑證狀態：  不驗證
   • 網域： dot1x.cuhk.edu.hk
   • 身份：  (Computing ID)@cuhk.edu.hk
   • 匿名身份：  （留空）
   • 密碼： Wi-fi hotspot 密碼
     
     
     
     
4. Done.
       成功連線。
   
      
   

 

Android 14 devices

1. Tap Settings > Network and Internet > Internet.
       點選設定 > 網絡和互聯網 > 互聯網。
   
   
   
2. Make sure Wi-Fi is On, then tap eduroam from the list of available wireless networks.
       請開啟 Wi-Fi，並於可用的無線網路中選擇 eduroam。
   
      
   
   
   
3. Please configure the network details as follows, then tap Connect.
       請根據以下設定連接 eduroam，然後點選 連線。
   
   
   • EAP Method:  PEAP
   • Phase 2 authentication:  MSCHAPV2
   • CA Certificate: Trust on first use
   • Identity: (Computing ID)@cuhk.edu.hk
   • Anonymous identity:  anonymous@cuhk.edu.hk
   • Password: Wi-fi hotspot password
     
     
   • EAP 方法︰  PEAP
   • 第二階段驗證︰  MSCHAPV2
   • CA 憑證：  首次使用時信任
   • 身份：  (Computing ID)@cuhk.edu.hk
   • 匿名身份：  anonymous@cuhk.edu.hk
   • 密碼： Wi-fi hotspot 密碼
     
        
     
     
4. You will be asked to trust a Wi-Fi certificate.  Verify the SHA-256 fingerprint is exactly the same as the screenshot below.  If so, tap Yes, connect to continue.
       系統會詢問是否信任即將連線的網絡。請核對 SHA-256 指紋 一欄否與以下截圖相符。若然，請點選「是，請連線」繼續。
   
       Caution: DO NOT connect if the fingerprint shown on your screen does not match.
       注意：如果指紋不符下圖所示，切勿連線。 
   
      
   
   
5. Done.
