Notes

  • Please activate Foxit PDF Editor with Staff and Student Accounts.  Project account is not applicable.
  • Each account includes a license for 2 concurrent devices under the current subscription. 

 

Solution

For first time user, please download and install the app.  Refer to the sections below for details:

Activate Foxit PDF Editor

  1. Launch Foxit PDF editor.
  2. You may see either of the following screen.  Click the Sign In button to proceed.

  3. In the Sign In window, click the SSO Login button to authenticate using your university credentials.

  4. Enter your CUHK email address in the Email field, then click the Sign In button.

  5. Sign in to CUHK LOGIN using your university Email and OnePass Password as usual.

  6. After signing in, a message will ask you to restart the app.  Click Restart Now to finish the setup.  Once Foxit PDF Editor has restarted, the software will be activated and ready for use.

        Tip:  Check the below section if you see a message 'Your license has reached the maximum number of activations' during the activation process.

Activate Foxit PDF Editor on Multiple Computers

You may activate Foxit PDF Editor on up to 2 computers.  If you try to activate it on a third computer, you will see an alert informing you that the license has reached its limit.  Please follow the steps below to deactivate Foxit on any computers that are no longer in use.

 

  1. When the 'maximum number of activations' alert appears, click OK.

  2. Click the X button next to a computer you no longer use and close the window.

  3. Click Sign In, the application will be activated and ready for use on the new computer.

Delete Your Foxit Account

When you first sign in to Foxit PDF Editor with Single Sign-On (SSO), a Foxit account is automatically created.  The account is separated from CUHK IT services.

If you no longer need this Foxit account, you can delete it by following the official steps on Foxit support page: How to Delete Foxit Account?
