What is an email alias?

Email alias is the alterative email address of the primary email address.

e.g.  davidwong@cuhk.edu.hk  davidwong is the email alias.

 

Solution

1. Sign in to email alias management portal
   (Caution: You need to access the portal on Campus network or on CUHK VPN)
    
2. To sign in the the portal, you may fill your correct Login ID.
   (Caution: It needs to have your DUO Mobile App enrolled for 2-Factors authentication)  
   
   Login ID
   Staff : Staff ID
   
   Password
   1. OnePass password (You need to acknowledge DUO push message from your enrolled DUO Mobile App)
   2. OnePass password plus DUO Mobile passcode (Userguide)
      
      
      
      
3.  You can design your own email alias with following critiera. Then please check the box to consent the term and submit the request.
        (Caution: You can only change your email once, you cannot change it again when the change request submitted)
   
   
   
   
4.  You may see the page below once it submitted your request successfully.
   
   
   After a successful submission, the new email address will be effective online in 30 minutes and effective across Office 365 directory in 24 hours.
   
   It will also be your new login ID at CUHK Login Page and Office 365 services in 30 minutes. Your old email address will then become invalid.
