Part 3: Save Your Works from RemoteApp Apps to your Mac / Open Saved Works in your Mac at RemoteApp
Because of the way RemoteApp works, the C: drive in RemoteApp apps is NOT your local hard drive! In addition, all user files saved in C: drive will be automatically removed when the RemoteApp session is terminated. Therefore it is important to make sure that all your works are saved to your Mac or to a USB drive (for shared PCs). You are suggested creating a folder Data on Desktop folder on your local computer to save your data or save your data in a USB drive.
Save your data on your local computer
- Click VMware Horizon Client. Then, click Preferences.

- Click + button under the folder list.

- Click Desktop, and click your folder (Data is the example below.). Then, click Add.

- Your data can be stored in Data folder in your Mac.

- In RemoteApp applications, the folder you added in previous step will appear as Z Drive (or other network drives depend on your configuration).

Save your data in USB drive
- Click VMware Horizon Client menu. Then, click Preferences.

- Check Allow access to removeable storage. (Untitled is used in the example below.)

- Then, you can save your data in USB drive by Y Drive (or other network drives depends on your configuration).

Part 4: Logoff and Close VMWare client
Please be reminded to save your works before logoff.
- In VMware Horizon Client, click disconnect
.

- Then, click Quit VMware Horizon Client to confirm logout the remote access platform.
