Caution
While it may be convenient to read messages from a single email account, forwarding messages to a third-party email account carries potential risks to security and data privacy. Therefore, we strongly discourage users from doing so. In particular, advanced email features (such as Microsoft Information Protection) may not be available in the forwarded emails.
Solution
The sender of the forwarded email will use your University identity, as if you forwarded the email manually. Using an inbox rule to forward emails could provide more flexibility, such as forwarding emails that only matched specific criteria.
Method 2: Use Classic Email Forwarding
This is the simplest way to set up email forwarding. You may set one (1) email address as the forwarding destination.
⚠️ This method may not work for Gmail and Yahoo! mail. Gmail and Yahoo! mail have introduced new email delivery validation requirement, which may flag emails forwarded using this method as spam, resulting in unsuccessful delivery. If you encounter this issue, please try using Method 1. |
