(Student) How to login Blackboard?

- New students should make sure they have collected their Computing Account Information (CAI) Slip. (For more, please visit Staff / Student Account)

- To further enhance the protection of OnePass user accounts and passwords, two factor authentication (2FA) is being enabled gradually on Staff and Students applications.

- You are advised to check Browser Support before accessing Blackboard.

1. For CUHK users with valid Student ID, there are two ways to access Blackboard.

1.1. Direct Login: https://blackboard.cuhk.edu.hk

• Username: Student-ID@link.cuhk.edu.hk (The 10-digit Student ID is printed on your CU Link Card, without the letter ‘R’ / 'S')
• Password: OnePass password (the password is printed on your CAI Slip, please check. This password is different from the one for R-account.)

1.2. Via MyCUHK: https://portal.cuhk.edu.hk

• Username: Student-ID@link.cuhk.edu.hk (The 10-digit Student ID is printed on your CU Link Card, without the letter ‘R’ / 'S')
  
• Password: OnePass password (the password is printed on your CAI Slip, please check. This password is different from the one for R-account.)
• eLearning > Blackboard

2. For external user / student organization accounts:

• https://blackboard.cuhk.edu.hk
• Username: alias@cuhk.edu.hk / computing-ID@link.cuhk.edu.hk
• Password: OnePass password

3. For local accounts (i.e. usernames and passwords given by ITSC Blackboard Support Team):

• Access Blackboard through https://www.edtech.cuhk.edu.hk/lms-blackboard (OTHER LOGIN).
• The system will re-direct to CUHK Login page after logout OR if a wrong password is inputted. Please try login again at https://blackboard.cuhk.edu.hk/webapps/login/?action=default_login

Important: To completely log out Blackboard, remember to click “End SSO Session” after clicking “Sign Out”.

Note:

- Instructors and TA/Support Staff can control the availability of their Blackboard courses. If you would like to backup the contents from Blackboard, you are advised to do so before term-end. 2. For department / project / visiting guest accounts:

3. For local testing/temporary/guest accounts (i.e. Usernames and passwords are given by ITSC Blackboard Support Team):

• Access Blackboard through https://www.edtech.cuhk.edu.hk/lms-blackboard (OTHER LOGIN).
